Ethan has an announcement!

Ethan, Robert, and I are happy to announce that we will be welcoming baby #2 in June. We look forward to adding to our happy little family. After an exhausting first trimester my energy is finally coming back to me, most days, and things are going well. So far it is fairly similar to my first pregnancy. No morning sickness, protein and salt type cravings, and very tired.

We have told Ethan that he will be a big brother and that there is a baby in Mommy's belly. I am not sure that he quite understands.  But, each time I ask him about it he points to my belly. So something is sticking. But, we know that he will make a great big brother.

We had family photos taken for our Christmas card over the weekend. Luckily, we were able to squeeze some announcement photos in there too. Thanks to Martin Davis for helping us share our big news and capturing such precious moments of our little man!

Playing catch up

I have definitely been slacking on the blog updates.  We have just been busy over here.  So here is a catch up from the remainder of October.

One of Ethan's favorite things to do is empty out mom and dad's closets. This time it was moms. He took almost every pair of shoes I own and put them on display in the bathroom, and wore each pair out. He even tried out my wedges.

Later that night I found this.

We have had fun teaching him all kinds of different things.  He has learned how to play tug of war with Turk. He thinks this is just the funniest thing ever. He has learned the art of the mustache and he can now answer the popular question "What does the fox say?"

He loves to watch himself on the phone.

We also had a little fun celebrating Halloween. Early in the week we had a playgroup party in Ft. Worth. There was no getting him in his actual costume so I had to make do with something a little more regular clothes like. A construction worker fits him anyway.

On Halloween we did a little trick or treating in our new neighborhood with Grandma, while Dad, Grandpa, and Uncle Mike stayed at the house to hand out candy. We FINALLY snuck his Sully costume on him during a routine diaper change. Once we got it on he was fine with it. We did find it was little short.  Oh well. It took a couple of houses to get the hang of what was going on. Once he did he seemed to really like it. He was definitely hopped up on the excitement at bed time.

Looks like he is skipping a  couple of holidays and going straight to waiting for Santa.

We had a very busy October and it doesn't look like the rest of the year is slowing down.
