Christmas Day Fun

Brady's first Christmas has come and gone. I'm not sure how the time has passed to quickly.

I may have cried just a little. Brady and I were the first ones awake. So we patiently waited for Ethan and Dad to wake up. It was almost 9 before they did.

But, once Ethan was awake......he completely took the morning over. I don't know if he enjoyed the opening or the presents more in the midst of it all. But, he was excited and that is all the matters. He loved the presents that Santa brought him. He liked all of the presents Mom and Dad got for him too. Phew!

After we had our family time, we went over to see Grandma and Grandpa and the rest of the family for lunch. We had delicious ham dinner and of course birthday cake for Grandpa for dessert.

We hope everyone else had a great Christmas!

Christmas Eve

What a fun day! The boys and I started the day with some last minute shopping. We then came home to get things ready for Gaga and Paw Paw's house while we waited for Dad to get home. Before making it that direction we stopped for lunch and then had a little surprise for Ethan. I happened to see on our city's Facebook page that Mater and McQueen were down the street. He loved it.

After Mater and McQueen we made our way to Red Oak. I thought for sure these kids would nap in the car. No such luck. Our first stop was Nanny's house. Ethan loved opening his gifts. He thought it was pretty cool to get a Spiderman box to hold things in...and it had cars inside. Every boy's dream. We cut our visit short so Brady could take a nap (not that he did that).

After about an hour of Ethan asking, "Can we open presents now?" everyone else started showing up. It was so great to see everyone. I wish we could see everyone more often. Ethan (and everyone else) finally got to open some presents. There are so many of us that it gets pretty chaotic. I didn't get to see Ethan open all of his gifts. But, I did catch the one he loved most. He got a Hot Wheels case to carry his cars around. He thinks it is so amazing.

It was a fun and busy night. This kid with his pjs and boots had me laughing for awhile. They both slept the entire way home. Ethan did make it for a second when we got home to put out cookies and milk for Santa, making sure Turk couldn't get them. But he was quickly asleep in bed with Huggsie and his new buddy, Michaelangelo.

We are all ready for them to wake up in the morning!

Merry Christmas Eve!
