Spring Break: Day 4

What a fun day at the aquarium! We had a great time checking out all of the sea creatures and got to spend some time with friends. The aquarium was much busier than we are used to when we go, but we had a great time nonetheless.

Filing out his scavenger hunt

This is what Brady's fits look like. He would stop every few seconds and look at me to see if I was still watching

He then went to this position for a bit. Never a dull moment.

Once we finished with the aquarium we had some lunch and of course got talked into the Disney store again.

When we got home, little man was pretty tired and took a great nap. While he was napping, Ethan and I made some raindrops. Today we learned that crayons are made of wax and that wax melts when you heat it up. He is looking forward to actual sun shining through our suncatchers.

Spring Break: Day 2-3

Well, we had planned to go to the aquarium on Tuesday. Storms in the area quickly changed our plans. So, we postponed our plans for a couple of days. Instead, we ran to grab a quick lunch to get out of the house just for a minute. We brought it back for a picnic and movie in the playroom. In the afternoon, Ethan's friend, Lucas came for a playdate to cure the boredom. They had a great time playing for a few hours. They dressed up as superheros, jumped on Brady's trampoline, did some drawing, and when the cabin fever really set in, we got creative. I took the cushions off and made a pallett on the floor to land.

Rainy day 3 of spring break was just as much fun! By this time, I was the one with cabin fever. So, we went outside in the small window of time that there wasn't any rainfall. They both had so much fun playing in the puddles! Brady has been a little hug monster lately. He hugs everyone and everything, including big brother. I love it!!

We have also been doing lots of crafts this week. All week we have been talking about rain and spring, including Easter. I have a list of activities for him to choose from. And this day, Ethan chose the option of making some crystalized bunnies. He had such a fun time making these. Combining borax and boiling water creates crystals around the shaped pipe cleaners over a period of 6 hours. We also learned, by mistake, that if any of it is exposed to air none of it will form the crystals. I can't wait to find a place to hang these soon!

After puddles and science, off to the mall we went. We went to the Disney store, played in the play area, met the Easter bunny, bought Ethan some new shoes, had some lunch, and rode the carousel. This was a big deal. Up until yesterday, Brady screamed anytime we tried the carousel. He finally decided they were ok and had a great time.

The rain isn't going to slow us down!!

Ethan's Basketball season

Ethan had a great time playing basketball for a couple of months. Watching a bunch of 3-5 year olds play basketball is definitely entertaining. Somedays is was more like watching minature football games. Most of them are still having a hard time learning to dribble so they just run Heissman style to the basket. But, they all had fun and hopefully learned a little something about the game. For me, my biggest hope is that he learns to be a good sport.

Here are a few shots from his last day.
