Ethan is 3 months old!!

Our little man is 3 months old.  He has officially moved from newborn to infant status.  He is hitting his milestones right on target, some even ahead of the game.  He is getting stronger everyday.  He can hold his head up really well.  I may even start putting him in the highchair soon so he can enjoy my lunch as much as I do.  He is becoming quite the chatter box.  This little backseat symphony is much better than the previous one of the crying and screaming.  He is also especially chatty in the morning.  This is his favorite time of day.  I assume he is telling me tales of puppies and angels playing with him in his dreams.  As soon as he opens those baby blues he is all smiles.   He is also starting to creep around the floor.  However, once he starts he moves himself in a circle so he doesn't get too far.  All of these fun blessings in my day also come with one little pitfall --- TEETHING!  I wasn't aware that they started this early.  I thought I had another month at least -- WRONG!

Last week we also had our first play date.  We drove out to BFE Forney to meet Wyatt and Lisa.  It was a lot of fun for me to see what to look forward to over the next couple of months.  Wyatt is two months older than Ethan, but they still seemed to have a great time.  I had a great time going through the ups and downs of pregnancy Lisa.  It is always helpful going through these things with someone - and she is an expert by now.  I do wish she lived a little closer to us so we could enjoy these little play dates more often, not to mention mommy's night out the next time EYB is in town.....

Ethan: 3 month, Wyatt: 5 months

It is crazy to realize how much has changed over the past few months.  I still work in the gas industry, but the production source is much cuter now.  Here is a peek at a day in the life of Ethan (and Turk).

Cloth Diapering

We have officially been using the cloth diapers for over 2 weeks now.  We decided a few months back that we would go cloth once we ran out of all of the diapers that were gifted to us (which was a lot).  We invested in 18 Fuzzibunz One Size Diapers, like the ones here.  I have found it to be easy so far.  I have even taken him on a few adventures out of the house in them, including the crazy crowd at Northpark Mall to check out H&M and Top Golf.  I have to launder them every other day. I know this seems like a lot, but I hardly notice it.  I also invested in a sprayer, made by bumGenius, that I attached to the toilet seat to help with the messy ones.  You can find that here.  However, I bought mine on Amazon for $35.  This has been a great investment so far.  It was even easy to install.  I actually did it myself in about 15 minutes.  I attempted to use my regular All Free Clear detergent and found that it causes repelling.  We just switched to Rockin' Green soap.  It is wonderful.  So we are only about 2 weeks in, but I am finding it to be easy and cozy for Ethan.  And the total savings over a 2-3 year time frame ($2000+ if you are wondering) is well worth a little extra work for me!  He may have a little more junk in the trunk, but it is super cute!

Mom, I think you need to change this!

Taking him out shopping has proven to be an issue.  He is so interested in what is going on around us.  Because of this, he doesn't want to sit in his carrier.  I am forced to carry him around the store so that he doesn't scream.  While I haven't tried the BABY BJORN out of the house yet, I hope to soon.  Maybe once we have consistent fall weather we can test it with a walk around the neighborhood.  Hopefully, Robert will be rockin' this at the Fair in a few weeks!!

Update on the sleep schedule - 8-10 hours a night!!! Woo to the Hoo!!

In a second....I am Pinning

Those that Pin understand the title and the obsession.  I spend a lot of time on Pinterest.com.  I could get lost for hours on it if I weren't interrupted by my little guy, of which I am thankful.  It is a great collaboration of creativity from around the web.  Instead of "wasting time" pinning things all day, I have decided that I would attempt to create at least one of my pins per week.  There are so many things I would like to try that is seems impossible to get through them all.  But, I have to start somewhere.  Up first is this cute little tie onsie and adding a similar insert into my diaper bag for my camera.  Keep your eyes peeled for some UNT fabric for me!!
