Mother's Day

Today was my last Mother's Day with just one boy to call my own. I had a really great weekend celebrating with everyone. Yesterday, Ethan and I had dinner with Gaga, Aunt Carissa, and Macy. Ethan had a great time entertaining Macy.

Today, we had lunch and a lot of water fun at Uncle Chris's house. The kids seemed to have a great time chasing one another through the water weasel and playing on the Princess slip and slide.

Even Uncle Mike got in on the action

Love his face in this one!

He was a little tired when we were done. He slept the whole way home and then fell back asleep when we got home. Bedtime was not easy. But, this picture makes it all ok.
I hope that everyone had a fantastic Mother's Day. I am grateful to have you all to learn from and help me to be a better mommy to my own. And, of course, I can't forget Robert. He is always good to me, especially on holidays such as this.

May fun

Warning: Photo heavy post. I am catching up a little since I have been slacking.

May has been busy, busy, busy. We have enjoyed the warmer weather by playing outside a lot. We have even made it over to the Sharkosa Wildlife Safari with some playgroup friends.

The kids really seem to enjoy the Safari. They have many animals that you don't really get to see at the zoo. They have kangaroos up close and personal. We got to see some camels, zebras, reindeer, horses, donkeys, zonkeys, and a zorse (the cross between zebras and donkeys/horses).

We have had a lot of outside time as well. One day last week we spent the entire day in Ft. Worth. We had lunch with Sherri. Then we went to Sarah and Abigail's house. The kids played in the pool and sandbox most of the afternoon.

We also had our first pool day.  Ethan and Dad had fun playing in the chilly water while I sat by the pool watching and taking photos. It is amazing the difference in him in the water just from the end of last summer. He really enjoyed swimming but, he was fairly hesitant. He was going full force this time around.

And of course, we have been enjoying some rainy weather. It gives us good reason to wear our rain boots the Easter bunny brought. When we started to hear the thunder from inside he had to go see it. He doesn't take my word that you can't see thunder. But, he had fun playing in the rain anyway.
