January Zoo Day

Yesterday, we ended January with 77 degree weather. Of course, today it is about 55 or so. We took advantage yesterday and went to the Dallas zoo with Gaga, Aunt Carissa, and Macy. It was a beautiful day, a light crowd, and a very good mood toddler and 6 month old. It couldn't have been better.

Ethan was more than excited about going. The first words out of his mouth when he woke up were "We go zoo, see giraffe today?" We even left for breakfast so he would stop asking when we were going to leave. We started our day with the flamingos and a little play time near the fish and goats. He loved playing with this particular goat. He would have really enjoyed my house when we were younger. We had a goat and rabbits at one point or another.

We asked for his fish face

As requested, we made our way to see the tiger next. It was a bit of a disappointment. There was only one and he was a hungry tiger pacing in front of the side door. So we decided to hunt down the kangaroos and emus.

After the kangaroos we walked over the Savanna where we found the elephants, giraffes, lions, and cheetahs.

Later, we went to see some monkeys and gorillas. And we took a little break to rest our feet.

Every statue needs a hug

I love hugs from my boy!

It was a long day, complete with sprinting to the restroom for those last minute "I need to potty" (the joys of potty training). We had a great time and hope to do it again soon.
