10 months: never a dull moment

Thursday marked 10 months of parenthood for Robert and myself.  Ethan is definitely keeping us busy these days.  He is NEVER still.  I can already tell he is going to be a curious guy.  He is into everything!!  But, it is the expression on his face when he is really studying something that really makes me giggle.  He stares at things so intently and with much curiosity.

Last week was a pretty rough week.  He had a pretty brutal cold that knocked him out for most of it.  It was truly the first time I have ever seen him that sad and lifeless.  It really does break your heart to see him in pain.  It is no fun sitting in the doctor's office with a little one with 102+ fever.
Waiting on the doctor.  Such a sad face!
A few days of rest and snuggle time with Mom and I am feeling better!
But, we are definitely in better spirits this week.  He is keeping a busy schedule in his dwindling time in the "infantry".  A typical day in this ten month olds life entails waking up anywhere between 7:30 and 8.  At that time we have a bottle while snuggling with mom (my favorite time of day).  We then proceed to playtime for about an hour or so, followed by breakfast.  After breakfast we will play for a little longer before we take our two hour morning nap.  Playtime these days includes teasing Turk with his ball,  crawling around the house, playing with our shapes bucket, or investigating anything and everything out on the back patio.  After our morning nap we go to lunch, have more playtime or run errands until it is time for our afternoon nap close to 3:30 or 4.  Dad gets home from work around the time he wakes up from his second nap.  We have dinner and play with Dad for the rest of the night until it is time for a bath around 7:40 and then to bed between 8 and 8:30.  About once a week we go to playgroup or just hangout with Sarah and Abigail.  And of course, two days out of the week Ethan is at Grandma's (switching between my mom and Robert's mom) house while I go to work.  He loves them both so much that it doesn't bother him that I leave him for the day!
A peaceful morning soaking up Ethan love
What is going on out there?
Going to lunch with Sarah and Abigail

A nice afternoon on the patio
We aren't walking yet, but he is working on getting strong and confident for it.  He will switch stability post (couch to table, etc) and has started crab crawling.  It is only a matter of building a little more strength I think.

He is very curious as to how things work these days.  He likes to take things in and out of things and open and close doors.

What is Turk doing over there
Curiosity
Hard at work

Stats:

Weight: 23 or so lbs
Height: 28 or so inches (he wouldn't sit still)
Teeth: Two bottom, but working on the top two
Formula: 22 oz day
Solids: Cereal for breakfast, fruit/veggie for lunch, protein/veggie/fruit for dinner.  He LOVES beans and yogurt the most right now.  He will eat almost anything.  He does have some days that he doesn't want to eat (mainly dinner), but we haven't figured out the reasoning.
New tricks: as of April 22, we are clapping and he can slam dunk his basketball!

Have a great week!!
